Präzisionspendeluhren sind unsere Leidenschaft. Wenn auch unser tägliches Leben seit Jahrzehnten nicht mehr durch mechanische Uhren bestimmt wird, faszinieren diese nach wie vor durch das ununterbrochene Zusammenspiel von Zahnrädern und Hemmung. Unser Beruf ist es, die Tradition dieser hochwertigen Uhren fortzusetzen.
Weil die früheren Hersteller von Präzisionsuhren auf stetige Verbesserung bedacht waren, bedeutet für uns Tradition zu pflegen keineswegs nachzubauen, sondern Neues zu entwickeln. So werden in unseren Uhren mehrere neue Konstruktionsmerkmale verwirklicht. Andere, die in der Vergangenheit wegen der schwierigen Umsetzung verworfen wurden, haben wir erfolgreich aufgegriffen. In vielen Jahren der Entwicklung und unzähligen Versuchen entstand unsere Uhr GRAMAT, ein außergewöhnlicher Zeitmesser, dessen Konstruktionsmerkmale bislang noch nie in einer einzigen Uhr vereinigt wurden:
Die neue patentierte Hemmung mit langem, feinem Sekundenzeiger aus der Mitte. Obwohl er durch beste Ablesbarkeit und Eleganz hervorsticht, ist ein zentraler Sekundenzeiger auf Pendeluhren sehr selten zu finden. Anders als bei allen bislang bekannten Hemmungen, bleibt das Pendel der GRAMAT von irgend einem Element wie Feder, Gewichtshebel oder Ankergabel unberührt. Die notwendige Energie zur Erhaltung der Schwingung wird ihm durch mikrometrische Verschiebungen seines Aufhängepunktes zugeführt. Diese einzigartige Konstruktion gewährt dem Pendel einer mechanischen Uhr den höchstmöglichen Freiheitsgrad.
Die viermonatige Gangdauer mit 3 kg Antriebsgewicht aus massivem Wolfram. Dennoch haben wir nicht auf Triebe mit mindestens 13 Zähnen verzichten wollen. Die außergewöhnlich lange Gangdauer wird durch das große Rad mit 400 Zähnen, das in seiner Nabe eingebaute Planetengetriebe und den doppelten Seilzug erreicht. Alle Wellen sind entweder in Präzisionskugellagern oder Lochsteinen gelagert.
Die Skelettkonstruktion gibt den besten Einblick in das Werk und seine Funktion. Das temperaturkompensierte Pendel mit seiner Stange aus Invar hängt an einer in der Rückwand befestigten Säule. Diese starre Aufhängung ist Bedingung für den genauen Gang. Da die Welle der Seiltrommel auch als Pfeiler dient, konnten die Werksplatinen sehr schlicht gestaltet werden.
Das luftdichte Gehäuse mit Regulierung der Luftdichte. Nicht der Luftdruck, wie meistens angenommen, sondern ihre Dichte beeinflussen den Gang einer Pendeluhr. Durch den Unterdruck und die einzigartige Regulierung der Luftdichte im Gehäuse werden auch die Schwankungen ausgeschlossen, die durch die Luftfeuchtigkeit und -temperatur verursacht werden.
Die Räder mit perfekt geschliffenen Schenkeln, die Chatons, die Triebe mit polierten Hohlkehlen, sowie die fein gearbeiteten Zeiger zeugen für die Sorgfalt, die wir zur Herstellung dieser Uhren aufwenden. In vielen Stunden Handarbeit werden die auf modernsten Maschinen hergestellten Teile verfeinert, poliert, geschliffen, vergoldet oder vernickelt, bis sie unserem hohen Anspruch genügen. Das Ergebnis ist eine Uhr, die in ihrer Art und Ausführung außergewöhnlich ist.
