Mit der Präzisionspendeluhr Brive sind wir unserem Prinzip treu geblieben, vorhandene Konzepte nicht nur nachzubauen, sondern diese mit Hilfe modernster Mittel zu verbessern. So ist es uns gelungen, in dieser Uhr Merkmale zu vereinen, die in der Vergangenheit nicht gemeinsam zu verwirklichen waren.
Die einjährige Gangdauer in Verbindung mit einem zentralen Sekundenzeiger ist wegen der schwierigen Umsetzung sehr selten. Der Anker ist statt auf einer eigenen Welle gelagert, fest an dem Pendel verbunden. Die Kombination dieser drei Merkmale ist einzigartig. Anders als gewohnt, erfolgt der Antrieb durch zwei Wolframgewichte über ein Planetengetriebe, damit die Uhr auch während des Aufzugs weiterläuft. Die Stange des 7 kg schweren Pendels ist aus Invar und trägt eine Druckluft- und Temperaturkompensation. Das Ankerrad wird aus einer sehr leichten Legierung gefertigt und über eine feine Spiralfeder in seiner Nabe angetrieben. Durch die äußerst geringe Trägheit wird ein hoher Wirkungsgrad der Hemmung erreicht. Mit der verschleißfesten Diamantbeschichtung der Triebe werden Reibungsverluste im Getriebe vernachlässigbar.
In vielen Details wird die feinste Verarbeitung deutlich: der Genfer Schliff auf den Platinen, die polierten Chatons, Räder und ihre Schenkel. Das Gehäuse besteht aus einem edlen, hochglanzvernickelten Messingrahmen mit Facettenverglasung.
All diese technischen Besonderheiten, die angewandten Verfahren und sorgfältigste Handarbeit verleihen der Brive ihren hohen Wert und ermöglichen einen über viele Jahre präzisen Gang.
